Critical Illness Plans
Critical Illness Insurance is designed to provide lump sum cash payment or income payment if the policyholder is diagnosed with one of the critical illnesses listed in the insurance policy. Illnesses may include diabetis, cancer, heart disease, renal disease, or pulmonary disfunction.
The payout may also be triggered by the policy holder undergoing a specific porcedure such as organ transplant, heart stint, dialysis or tumor removal. Many policies provide multiple payouts for a series of events. For example, the polcy may be triggered by the onset of heart disease. and a period of time later, again pay out for a diagnosis of cancer. Benefits do not pay for the same ailment twice.
