Cancer Insurance Plans
As early detection of cancer improves, cancer survivor rates and costs for care are rising. Cancer Insurance Plans are supplemental insurance policies that use the diagnosis of specific types of cancer to trigger specific benefits . Generally benefits are paid directly to the policy holder and may be used for any purpose. Some policies provide coverage for whole families, some are specific to individuals. Not all policies provide the same level of coverage. Care should be used to ensure that comprehensive coverage is provided, but that the coverage does not duplicate current health care coverage as many medical policies and disability policies may duplicate coverage.
